Roof scans have traditionally been done with a thermal imaging camera (TIC) and a manned airplane. Manned pilot planes cannot hover over their target; a pilot must fly overhead multiple times in order for a Thermographer to capture what is necessary.
Drones have completely rewritten the 'How To' book on roof scanning.
It is in this course that our Thermographers teach the correct way to physically walk a roof for a closer look along with the correct drone use and their advantages.
We offer FAA 107 licensing at our indoor range - making diagnosing energy loss, moisture intrusion, and incorrectly installed product simple. Our Roof Scan Thermologist course is an excellent prerequisite to a Level 1 course, or can be used as a more trade specific course to focus in on roofing after Level 1 is completed.
